Introduction to her new novel about life along the Erie Canal in the mid-1800's

Local author Marilyn Higgins will introduce her new novel, Dreams of Freedom, about a young Irish immigrant, Aileen O'Malley, who came to Upstate New York to find her missing family members.  Ms. Higgins includes a lot of local history, including Madison County history, as Aileen travels the new Erie Canal.  This is our concluding event celebrating the Bicentennial of the Erie Canal.  This will be the last chance to view the exhibit from the Erie Canal Museum, entitled Hidden Perspectives: Women's Lives on the Erie Canal.
